Privacy Policy

Porchlight is a static website. It has no user accounts, no comment system, and runs no advertising or analytics trackers of its own. This policy explains the limited ways data can still come into play.

What we collect directly

Nothing automatically. The site sets no cookies of its own and runs no first-party analytics. If you email us at hello@porchlighthomesecurity.com, we receive your email address and whatever you write; we use it only to reply and don't add you to any list.

Hosting

The site is served by our hosting provider, which — like virtually all web hosts — may keep standard server logs (IP address, browser user-agent, pages requested) for security and operations. We don't use these logs to identify visitors. See the host's own privacy policy for details on their handling.

Affiliate links and third parties

When you click an outbound product link (marked as a paid link), you leave this site for the retailer — typically Amazon. The retailer may set cookies in your browser to attribute the visit to us for commission purposes, and their collection and use of your data is governed by their privacy policy, not ours. We receive aggregate reports about purchases (what was bought and the commission), never your identity, address, or payment details.

Embedded content

Pages may load fonts or other assets from third-party CDNs (such as Google Fonts), which receive your IP address as a technical consequence of serving the file.

Your choices

You can browse with cookies disabled without losing any functionality here. Affiliate attribution is the retailer's mechanism; declining their cookies is handled on their site or in your browser settings.
